JOB SUMMARY:
Under limited supervision to assist in orderly operation and coordination of the district maintenance department to maximize positive impact and efficiency.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Individual shall be able to operate and care for hand and power tools safety
- Must have a working knowledge and experience in building preventive maintenance programs
- Must be familiar with lock out tag out procedures, proper use of ladders, and other safety procedures
- Must have experience using computers and familiar with computerized maintenance work order system to assign, complete, and log work orders for data collection
- Operates various measuring, diagnostic, and testing equipment
- Advise management on weather continued operations of equipment could be hazardous
- Performs plumbing duties in order to building code and laws
- Repairs, replaces, and maintains all facility plumbing within district (fixtures, water heaters, coolers, irrigation systems, kitchen equipment, and etc.) as well as preventive maintenance of all plumbing systems
- Coordinates with requesting department and other trades for the purpose of completing work orders
- Prepares documentation (e.g. records, requisitions, work orders, etc.) for purpose of providing written support and information
- Requisitions of material and supplies from warehouse, calls vendors to discuss need for parts and supplies, and recommends purchases and supplies
- Must be able to read building and mechanical schematics that pertain to individual position
- Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns
- Perform all other duties as assigned by your Director to ensure an efficient operations of the maintenance department
LENGTH OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 MONTHS (260 DAYS) MAINTENANCE SALARY SCALE – GRADE 5
