Job Summary
The Coordinator of Assessment and Accountability oversees the administration, analysis, and reporting of assessments within the district, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with state and federal regulations. This role involves collaborating with school leaders, teachers, and other stakeholders to analyze data, develop assessment strategies, and support data-driven decision-making to enhance student achievement. This position reports directly to the Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction.
Key Responsibilities
Assessment Coordination
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of district, state, and federal assessment programs.
- Ensure accurate, timely administration of standardized assessments, including training staff and coordinating testing schedules.
- Monitor compliance with testing protocols, maintaining security and confidentiality of all assessment data.
Data Collection and Analysis
- Collect, organize, and analyze student performance data from various assessments.
- Develop and implement data analysis tools and processes to support district and school improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with teachers and instructional leaders to interpret assessment results and provide actionable insights.
Reporting and Accountability
- Prepare detailed reports on assessment results, trends, and achievement gaps.
- Ensure data accuracy and compliance with state and federal reporting requirements.
- Communicate assessment results and accountability metrics effectively to stakeholders, including parents, school boards, and district leaders.
Professional Development and Training
- Develop and deliver professional development for staff on data-driven instruction, assessment literacy, and use of data tools.
- Provide support and guidance to teachers and administrators in using assessment data to inform instruction and support student learning.
Strategic Planning and Improvement
- Work with district leadership to set assessment and accountability goals that align with district and state objectives.
- Use assessment data to identify areas for school and district improvement, informing planning and policy decisions.
- Collaborate on creating strategic plans and initiatives to improve student outcomes and close achievement gaps.
Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree in Education, Educational Measurement, Data Analysis, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in educational assessment, data analysis, or a related field.
Skills:
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, or other educational software).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with state and federal assessment regulations and accountability frameworks.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in educational leadership or administration.
- Understanding of assessment and instructional strategies for diverse student populations.
