DESCRIPTION: Paraprofessional - Interviews on going
Qualifications:
1. Have 60 College Credit Hours (TRANSCRIPTS ARE REQUIRED, UNOFFICIAL ACCEPTED) or
2. Have completed two years (60 semester hours) of college coursework from an accredited institution, or
3. Have passed a state-approved examination of content knowledge and pedagogy (Testing Location Ola Copeland Learning Center)
*TRANSCRIPTS WILL NEED TO BE SUBMITTED IN PERSON OR UPLOADED DURING APPLICATION PROCESS*
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Works with small groups of students to reinforce material initially introduced by the teacher.
- Assists with reading, spelling, handwriting, and math.
- Under supervision of teacher, prepares for classroom activities.
- Assists individual children in need of special attention.
- Catalogs and files instructional materials and maintains an inventory of supplies and equipment and prepares orders.
- Performs clerical duties.
- Participates in in-service training programs.
- Assists with the annual inventory of supplies, materials and equipment.
- Completes other assignments as required by supervisor.
Length of Employment:
9 Months - 192 Days
